Water baptisms are the next step in your relationship with God after salvation. It’s a powerful symbol of what happens in our spirits when we are given new life in Christ and our old self has passed away.

It illustrates Christ's burial and resurrection.

“Christ died for our sins… He was buried… and He rose again.” — 1 Cor. 15:3-4

“For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ.” —Col. 2:12

It illustrates my new life as a Christian.

“When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a brand new person inside. The old life has passed away and a new life has begun!” — 2 Cor. 5:17

“By our baptism then, we were buried with Him and shared His death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead…so also we may live a new life!” — Rom. 6:4

Baptism doesn't make you a believer—it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not “save” you, only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring —it's the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” — Ephesians 2:8-9

Who can get baptized?
Anyone who has surrendered their life to Jesus Christ. Baptism is a public declaration that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. It is the next step after salvation through repentance and faith and is an important foundation for the Christian life.  Our entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ’s death on the cross, His burial in the tomb, and His resurrection from the dead.

Baptism is a symbol of your new life as a Christian. We bury the ‘old life’ and we rise to walk in a ‘new life'.

Where does it take place?
Venue has a built-in baptismal tank under the front stage. You will walk up on stage when your video testimony starts and walk down the stairs to the tank. 2 pastors/leaders will be there to help you go under the water and come up.

What do I wear?
Pants or shorts (you can wear a swimsuit underneath if you'd like)... and we will provide a dark-coloured T-shirt .

What do I bring?
Bring a change of clothes/extra towel? Shoes that are easy to get on/we will provide a towel.
Do I have to talk in front of everyone?  Yes and no… We pre-film our baptism videos so that you can relax day of ;) We know that your story of how Jesus has redeemed your life is going to impact someone else watching. So we ask you to open up a bit about your life and how Jesus has changed you.

What if I have special needs?
Alternate arrangements can be arranged for baptism with a pastor for anyone with special physical needs.

Can my family be baptized together? Yes! If each family member understands fully the meaning of baptism, and each one has personally placed his/her trust in Christ for salvation, we encourage families to be baptized at the same time. It is a wonderful expression of commitment. However, it is important to remember that baptism is a personal statement of faith, not a family tradition. It is usually not wise to delay your baptism while waiting on other family members to accept Christ, particularly children. This puts an undue pressure on them, and delays your obedience.

Can my child be baptized? - We believe in baptizing children only when they are old enough to understand what it means and make a personal declaration of belief in Jesus. Please click into the form at the top of the page, where many more details are found about children & youth getting baptized.

*Please note that we post our Baptism Services online, so your video interview may be viewed online during and after the Baptism Service.
